The Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism published the results of its fifth annual competition for financial analysis by financial institutions’ compliance teams. Uzbekistan’s Hamkorbank won for its example of detecting and disrupting suspicious transactions linked to current money laundering and terrorist financing risks. T-Bank of Russia and Axis Bank of India were named laureates, while Tajikistan’s Alif Bank received the audience award. Participants from Belarus, India, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan presented analyses covering international fraud, illegal gambling transactions, cross-border drug trafficking, financial pyramids and misuse of social media charity campaigns. Awards will be presented at the group’s 45th plenary meeting in Dushanbe in November 2026.
