The Qatar Ministry of Finance announced that Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs Dr Saud bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah participated via videoconference in the 75th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Finance of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states. The meeting focused on coordination across the Gulf Cooperation Council's economic integration agenda, including central banking, customs, taxation, free trade negotiations and the programme for economic unity. Participants discussed the outcomes of the 86th meeting of the Committee of Governors of Central Banks of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the results of meetings of the Gulf Cooperation Council Customs Union Authority, and the outcomes of the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Departments of the Gulf Cooperation Council. They also reviewed a General Secretariat report on measures taken in light of current circumstances, a progress report on free trade agreement negotiations with other countries and international blocs, and other issues of common interest to Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Qatar’s Ministry of Finance reported that its Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs joined the 75th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Finance of the Gulf Cooperation Council, held via videoconference.
