Union of Arab Securities Authorities meets the Iraqi Securities Commission and Iraq Stock Exchange to deepen regulatory and capacity-building cooperation

The General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Securities Authorities held official meetings with the Iraqi Securities Commission and the Iraq Stock Exchange to explore expanding cooperation on regulation, supervision and oversight. Discussions also covered institutional capacity building and strengthening the legislative and regulatory frameworks supporting capital market operations, aligned with regional and international best practices. Meetings between the Union’s Secretary General and the Chairman of the Iraqi Securities Commission, the Chairman of the Board of Governors and the Chief Executive Officer of the Iraq Stock Exchange reviewed existing areas of cooperation and examined joint training and capacity-building programmes implemented by the Union. The programmes focus on developing market professionals’ competencies and strengthening skills in supervision, oversight and market regulation.
