The Brazilian Pension Funds Authority has launched the “Simplifica PREVIC” internal campaign and adopted an Action Plan to embed plain, accessible language across the agency’s communications, from short online messages to more formal outputs such as reports and regulatory materials. The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Social Security’s directive on plain language for linked agencies. The plan makes accessible writing mandatory for all texts produced by the authority, including letters, notices, notifications, correspondence, responses to requests, web pages, apps, manuals, forms, templates, guidance and informational, educational and outreach materials. Implementation includes internal explanatory content, mobilisation through communication tools and a videoconference involving the Collegiate Board, staff and collaborators. The plan also sets a six-month deadline for each directorate to review routine documents published on the PREVIC portal retroactively to January 2023, with completion expected by 30 March 2026, and allows outdated or no-longer-effective website content to be removed. To preserve legal certainty, previously published normative acts are not subject to language revision. Communications already finalised and delivered, including direct messages to external audiences sent online or via instant messaging apps, are also excluded.
