The Bulgaria Financial Supervision Commission published decisions from its latest meeting, including a first-reading adoption of a draft ordinance amending Ordinance No. 50 on the capital adequacy and liquidity of investment intermediaries and the supervision of their compliance. The Commission also approved amendments to the articles of association of Sopharma Properties REIT and deleted SUXES FINANCE EOOD from the register of insurance brokers. The draft ordinance and its explanatory motives have been published on the Commission’s website for public consultation, with comments and proposals due within 30 days of publication, by 21 May 2026. For professional qualification exams scheduled for 16 May 2026 (broker of financial instruments) and 17 May 2026 (investment consultant), the Commission admitted five and 13 candidates respectively, noting that applications are reviewed in order of receipt within one month of submission, admissions will be posted in stages on its website, and the exam venue will be announced after the final list is prepared.
