The Italian Securities Commission (Consob) announced a set of investor education and public outreach initiatives at the Salone del Risparmio, centred on a staged conference-show on financial and crypto-related risks and a dedicated visitor space run by its Financial Disputes Arbitrator. The “Il momento è cri(p)tico” event is scheduled for 17 April at 09:15 in Sala Amber 1 and will cover topics ranging from barter and blockchain to online scams, promises of easy profits and the crypto market, combining entertainment with training; the third day of the Salone is open to both industry participants and the general public. Throughout the Salone, the Arbitro per le controversie finanziarie (ACF), Consob’s out-of-court dispute resolution body for disputes between intermediaries and investors, will host a dedicated exhibition area on level 1 in the South Wing to explain its role and how to submit complaints. Consob will also contribute to two panel sessions: Director General Luca Filippa will speak on 16 April at 16:00 on “AI and asset management, a strategy between risks and opportunities” (Sala Assogestioni), and Secretary General Nadia Linciano will participate on 17 April at 12:00 in “New and old recipes: does financial education really work?” (Sala Gold).
