China's National Financial Standardization Technical Committee held its 2025 work conference and the second plenary meeting of its fifth term, reviewing its 2025 work and 2026 priorities and approving updated internal working rules and changes to its membership. The meeting highlighted progress during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, including expanding the supply of financial standards, promoting implementation, improving working mechanisms and increasing international influence. It also set out guiding priorities for the 15th Five-Year Plan period, including strengthening Party leadership, maintaining a people-centred orientation, improving the quality of standards supply, deepening reforms to raise the effectiveness of standardisation work, mobilising diverse market participants alongside government action, balancing development and security, and advancing internationalisation. Participants included the People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, alongside committee member institutions, subcommittees and special working groups.
