Chile's Ministry of Finance, together with BancoEstado, announced that BancoEstado will eliminate the CLP 300 charge applied to electronic funds transfers (TEF) from CuentaRUT to accounts at other banks, effective 15 April. The change extends BancoEstado’s ongoing modernization and digitalization push. After moving to free transactions within its own ecosystem in 2023, the bank is now extending fee-free pricing to interbank transfers. Operations already offered at no cost include transfers between BancoEstado customers, withdrawals via CajaVecina, withdrawals at BancoEstado ATMs, and transactions at branches and BancoEstado Express.

The Ministry of Finance of Chile and BancoEstado announced that BancoEstado will eliminate the CLP 300 fee on electronic funds transfers from CuentaRUT to other banks, effective 15 April. The move extends BancoEstado’s modernization and digitalization strategy, under which a range of intra-bank transfers, withdrawals and branch transactions are already free of charge.
