The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority announced that it is participating for the third consecutive year in the Cairo International Book Fair, running from 23 January to 5 February 2025, to promote financial literacy and customer protection as part of its financial inclusion strategy, with a focus on non-banking financial activities. The authority’s booth will provide simplified educational booklets and host seminars explaining key non-banking financial services, their benefits, and how the public can access them. The participation includes the Financial Services Institute and several supervised professional federations, including the Egyptian Insurance Federation and federations for project finance, financial leasing, factoring, consumer finance, and securities; the Minister of Culture visited the booth during the fair’s official opening and received a briefing on the authority’s supervised activities and planned outreach. As part of the programme, the authority will hold a dialogue session on microfinance titled “A tool to empower entrepreneurs” on 26 January, from 12:00 to 14:00, at the Diwan Al-Shaar Hall (Plaza 1).
