The National Bank of Slovakia’s Bank Board has approved the notification for the issuance of a €2 commemorative coin marking the 50th anniversary of Czechoslovakia’s victory in the European Football Championship. The coin will have the same technical parameters as standard €2 coins and will be legal tender in Slovakia and across the euro area. The national side was designed by Matej Hanuš, and the coin will be produced by the Kremnica Mint with a mintage of one million. The coin is due to be issued in June 2026.

The National Bank of Slovakia’s Bank Board has approved the issuance of a EUR 2 commemorative coin marking the 50th anniversary of Czechoslovakia’s victory in the European Football Championship. The coin, designed by Matej Hanuš and minted by the Kremnica Mint in a mintage of one million, will have the same technical parameters as standard EUR 2 coins and be legal tender in Slovakia and across the euro area.
