The State Bank of Vietnam announced the Governor’s decision appointing Lê Hoàng Chính Quang as Director General of its Information Technology Department, confirming his appointment after he had been serving as acting head. At the announcement ceremony, Deputy Governor Phạm Tiến Dũng highlighted priority work for the unit including continued integration and connectivity between the public service portal and the electronic one-stop information system with related systems in line with government requirements, and the progressive digitisation of the State Bank of Vietnam’s administrative procedure intake, processing and case outcome delivery. The Information Technology Department was also tasked with developing a technology renewal roadmap, researching shared data repositories for the banking sector to strengthen common databases, ensuring system safety, security and confidentiality, and reviewing resourcing to match a growing workload.
