The Spanish Securities Commission (CNMV) has appointed María Dorronsoro Alberdi as deputy director general of the CNMV Legal Service and deputy secretary to the CNMV Board. Dorronsoro Alberdi is a State Attorney and previously led the coordination of contentious-administrative matters within the General Subdirectorate for Coordination and Support of Litigation Services in the Directorate General for Litigation, coordinating major cases defended by the State Attorney’s Office across Spain in administrative litigation. Her experience also includes serving on the Governing Council of the State Vehicle Fleet autonomous body, coordinating the legal assistance agreement between the State Attorney General’s Office and the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC), and acting as Chief State Attorney in the Autonomous Community of Madrid, where she directed the unit handling proceedings before Madrid’s administrative courts and the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Madrid.
