The Palestine Capital Market Authority (PCMA), in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University, held a specialized discussion session on the Draft Decree-Law on Palestinian Insurance for 2024, focused on reviewing and critiquing the draft’s legal provisions. The session brought together faculty members, PCMA’s Insurance Supervisor Amjad Qabha, postgraduate law students, and attorney Mohammad Salem Saqf Al-Heit. Contributions covered legal drafting observations, key issues addressed by the draft, and calls to align the insurance law’s provisions with market requirements and principles of justice, alongside a balanced assessment of strengths and weaknesses and proposals to add further topics to improve comprehensiveness. Participants highlighted the importance of broader community participation in discussing the draft and called for additional specialized sessions.
