The State Bank of Vietnam has amended its earlier approval for a Telecommunications Corporation to pilot the use of telecommunications accounts to pay for low-value goods and services, extending the approval period to 31 December 2025. The change is made through an amendment to Article 3 of the Governor’s 18 November 2021 decision approving the pilot. The amending decision took effect on 18 April 2025 and assigns implementation responsibilities to the State Bank of Vietnam’s Payment, Information Technology and Legal departments and relevant units, alongside the corporation’s chief executive.
