The National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia announced that North Macedonia’s representatives, students Marin Hristoski and Aleksej Mickoski, won second place at the European Money Quiz, an international youth competition focused on financial literacy organised by the European Banking Federation. The finalists, from the primary school “Kire Gavrilovski-Jane” in Prilep and mentored by teacher Sonja Jordanoska, competed in the final held in Brussels on 23 May 2025. Italy placed first and Sweden placed third. The competition drew participants from 30 European countries, with more than 73,000 students from 2,877 schools taking part in national rounds, and 60 students progressing to the final. The Macedonian Banking Association, working with the National Bank and the Securities and Exchange Commission, said it will continue supporting and promoting financial education.
