The Arab Monetary Fund convened the 17th regular meeting of the Arab Finance Ministers Council to discuss regional fiscal policy priorities and coordinate Arab countries’ positions ahead of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group Annual Meetings. Discussions covered the use of artificial intelligence in fiscal policy, sustainable infrastructure finance and international tax developments concerning base erosion and profit shifting. The fund also presented the framework and preliminary findings of its new annual report, Public Finance in Arab Countries: Diagnosis and Policies. The first edition is scheduled for publication in May 2027.
