The National Bank of Moldova has launched the drafting of an Executive Committee decision that would approve preparatory measures for applying regulatory technical standards on the technical requirements for establishing, managing and maintaining a central electronic register in the payment services domain and for access to the information it contains. The initiative is linked to Moldova’s commitments as an EU candidate country under the 2025–2029 National Accession Programme and is intended to prepare for the application, at the date of accession, of European Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/411 supplementing Directive (EU) 2015/2366 (PSD2). The National Bank of Moldova requested opinions, proposals and recommendations on the draft by 10 April 2026.
