The Angola Capital Markets Commission participated in the first phase of the 10th IOSCO/PIFS-Harvard Law School Global Certificate Program for Regulators of Securities Markets, an executive training initiative run by the International Organization of Securities Commissions in partnership with Harvard Law School's Program on International Financial Systems. The June 15-19 session in Madrid focused on regulation, supervision and compliance in securities markets, with the commission represented by Maria Simões, director of the legal and litigation office. The programme was aimed at senior officials and decision-makers at financial market regulators and covered core regulatory issues including capital markets and financial instruments supervision, sustainable finance and disclosure requirements, risk-based supervision, SupTech and RegTech, cryptoassets, artificial intelligence, investor protection, market integrity, and international cooperation in oversight and enforcement. The commission framed its participation as part of its institutional capacity building and exchange of regulatory practices with peers from other jurisdictions.
