The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been admitted as a member of the United Nations Development Programme’s Sustainable Insurance Forum, expanding its access to international cooperation on sustainability and climate risks in insurance supervision. Membership enables the central bank to exchange knowledge and practices with insurance regulators and supervisors worldwide and participate in the forum’s working groups and discussions. Established in 2016 with support from the International Association of Insurance Supervisors, the forum provides a platform for integrating sustainability issues, including climate related risks, into insurance supervision.
