The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published an update on the conclusion of the three-day Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit in Hong Kong, which closed with the “Conversations with Global Investors” investment forum jointly organised with the Securities and Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Academy of Finance. The forum brought together around 300 overseas and local leaders from financial markets, business and the public sector for dialogue on investment opportunities and evolving risks. Under the Summit theme “Trekking through Shifting Terrain”, more than 20 global investors discussed geo-economic fragmentation, shifting dynamics in asset management and alternative investments, the expanding potential in Asia’s investment landscape, and how artificial intelligence and digital innovation are reshaping investment practices, risk assessment and portfolio management. Across the three-day summit, organisers reported over 300 participants, including more than 100 group chairmen and chief executive officers from banks, securities firms, asset owners and asset managers, private equity and venture capital firms, hedge funds and insurers, with remarks delivered by SFC Chairman Kelvin Wong, Hong Kong SAR Financial Secretary Paul Chan and HKMA Chief Executive Eddie Yue.
