The Central Bank of Honduras has opened the temporary photography exhibition "Memories: Honduras Through the Eyes of Raúl Agüero Vega" as part of the bank’s 76th anniversary commemoration. The exhibition pays tribute to the Honduran photographer’s contribution to preserving the country’s visual memory and cultural heritage. The display brings together photographs from the Central Bank of Honduras collection, supplemented by reproductions provided by the photo archive of the National Autonomous University of Honduras and personal items linked to Agüero Vega. In presenting the exhibition, the central bank linked the initiative to its broader role in conserving, researching and promoting Honduran cultural heritage, alongside its economic mandate. The exhibition is open to the public at the Central Bank of Honduras cultural centers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will remain available for visits until Sept. 11, 2026.
