The Central Bank of Brunei Darussalam (BDCB) announced the issuance of commemorative products to mark the Diamond Jubilee Wedding Anniversary of the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri. The release comprises proof-quality gold, silver and cupronickel coins that will be legal tender in Brunei Darussalam, alongside a commemorative gold foil described as BDCB’s first such product. The coins have face values of BND 600 (999.9 gold), BND 60 (999 silver) and BND 6 (cupronickel), with weights of 31.10g for the gold and silver coins and 28.00g for the cupronickel coin. BDCB set selling prices of BND 6,700 for the gold coin and BND 450 for the 999.9 gold foil (1.0g, 64mm x 140mm) as base prices, with retail prices subject to prevailing market rates at the date of purchase, while the silver and cupronickel coins are priced at BND 560 and BND 360 respectively. The products will be sold at the BDCB booth at the 32nd Consumer Fair & Trade Expo from 28 January to 1 February 2026, and then at the BDCB Currency Gallery and Gift Shop from 2 February 2026.
