The Maldives Monetary Authority has announced that it will organize the Maldives Financial Expo from 2 to 4 July at Hulhumalé Central Park. The event is intended to support financial inclusion by raising public awareness and improving financial literacy, while creating a single venue where financial service providers, regulators and the public can engage directly and access information and services. The expo will give attendees a one-stop setting to interact with banks, financial institutions and regulatory authorities. Participating institutions will also use the event to launch and showcase new financial products, services and initiatives. Alongside the expo, the authority is introducing the Maldives Financial Sector Awards to recognize licensed financial institutions for contributions to the development of the Maldivian financial sector. The seven awards will be aligned with the authority's strategic priorities, including financial inclusion, financial literacy, digital finance, Small and Medium Enterprise finance, and green and sustainable finance. Nominations for the awards are open, and winners will be announced at a special ceremony on 1 July.
