The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has named David Brown, senior vice president and chief procurement officer at Post Holdings in St. Louis, to its Agribusiness Industry Council. The Agribusiness Industry Council is part of the St. Louis Fed’s four District Industry Councils, created in 2006 to provide feedback on economic conditions in key Eighth District industry sectors. Members’ observations, alongside economic information developed through the Federal Reserve Board’s Beige Book and the Reserve Bank’s board of directors meetings, are used to help ensure Main Street conditions are reflected in monetary policy deliberations. The agribusiness council is supported by the St. Louis Fed’s Little Rock office, and each council meets twice a year.
