The Central Bank of Peru reported that consumer credit grew 11.5% year over year in July 2026, accelerating from 10.6% in June. Lending increased 1.4% during the month to PEN 115.842 billion. Sol-denominated and U.S. dollar-denominated consumer lending rose 11.0% and 20.9% year over year, respectively, while overall dollarization stood at 5.9%. Annual growth reached 10.8% for vehicle loans, 9.5% for credit card lending and 12.0% for other consumer loans.
