The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority has called on insurers to support National Development Vision 2050 by extending insurance education, services and products to more Tanzanians. Commissioner Baghayo Saqware also urged companies to increase investment in the sector to strengthen its contribution to economic growth and national income. The guidance was delivered during a visit to Reliance Insurance as part of the authority’s engagement with insurers on implementing the national vision. The authority emphasized greater financial protection, broader insurance uptake and sector investment as the insurance industry’s main contributions to the 2050 goals.
