The Angola Capital Markets Commission published an update on its participation in the inauguration of the new headquarters of SAVINGS – Sociedade Distribuidora de Valores Mobiliários (SDVM), S.A. in Luanda, using the event to highlight the expansion of Angola’s capital market intermediaries following the operating model implemented in 2023. At the 12 December 2025 ceremony in Bairro Azul, Executive Administrator Vasco Januário described the new premises as progress for the institution and a signal of market evolution. He noted that the market had three brokerage firms and one distributor by end-2022 and has since grown to ten brokerage firms and thirteen distributors, and linked this growth to the need for stronger institutions with exemplary governance, trained staff, and high standards of rigour and transparency, alongside financial education and cooperation among market participants. The Commission framed the engagement as part of its ongoing work to promote a stable regulatory environment, support market consolidation, and reinforce investor confidence.
