The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Financial Regulatory Administration of the People’s Republic of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation on banking supervision. The MoU provides for bilateral information exchange and coordination, including in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, and is intended to support the activity of Chinese banks in Uzbekistan’s financial market. The arrangement also covers mutual consultations, experience-sharing in financial and banking supervision, and initiatives to deepen regulatory cooperation.
