The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA), through its Lake Zone office, is participating in the 8th Mining Technology Exhibition in Geita to provide insurance education and services to visitors. Outreach is being delivered alongside multiple insurers operating from a shared “Insurance Village” stand targeting mining workers, traders and the wider public. The engagement focuses on raising awareness of the role of insurance in protecting against accidents and other risks that may arise in daily and work-related activities, including through products such as health insurance. The exhibition is being held at the Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan grounds and runs from 22 to 28 September 2025, bringing together government, the private sector, large and small-scale miners, financial institutions, entrepreneurs and development partners.
