The Central Bank of Poland (NBP) published monetary statistics showing that broad money (M3) rose by PLN 18.9bn in March 2025 to PLN 2,515.7bn at month-end, mainly reflecting higher deposits and other claims of households and the local government sector. Deposits and other liabilities included in M3 increased by PLN 6.3bn (0.5%) for households to PLN 1,355.4bn, by PLN 3.6bn (3.3%) for the local government sector to PLN 113.2bn, and by PLN 2.5bn (0.5%) for non-financial corporations to PLN 504.3bn, while falling by PLN 1.7bn (2.2%) for other financial institutions to PLN 75.4bn. Over the same period, indebtedness rose by PLN 3.5bn (0.8%) for non-financial corporations to PLN 425.8bn and by PLN 2.2bn (0.3%) for households to PLN 800.6bn, while other financial institutions’ indebtedness fell by PLN 11.3bn (4.8%) to PLN 221.0bn; net indebtedness of the central government sector increased by PLN 24.7bn (5.6%) to PLN 462.8bn.
