The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) issued enforcement orders imposing administrative penalties of CAD 30,000 on Sabine Quattrociocchi and CAD 20,000 on Diamond Capital Investments Inc. following a settlement, citing contraventions of Ontario’s mortgage brokering and administration licensing requirements. FSRA found that Quattrociocchi dealt in mortgages without a licence or while not acting on behalf of a mortgage brokerage on two occasions, contrary to section 2(3) of the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006, and provided false or misleading information to FSRA, contrary to section 45. Diamond Capital was penalized for carrying on the business of administering mortgages without a licence or a valid exemption, contrary to section 5(2) of the Act.
