Argentina Securities Commission Vice President Sonia Salvatierra outlined the regulator’s ongoing “Big Bang” modernization and deregulation program at a meeting of the Argentine Bank Lawyers Committee. The initiative seeks to remove barriers, simplify procedures, cut costs and accelerate capital market access, advancing the commission’s established agenda of replacing burdensome approval processes with more streamlined market-entry arrangements. The package comprises General Resolutions 1145, 1146, 1147 and 1148 and shifts certain processes from prior approval to automatic authorization without reducing transparency or supervisory oversight. The measures form part of a broader reorganization of the commission’s rules intended to make Argentina’s capital markets more efficient and competitive.
