The European Commission and the European Central Bank will hold their annual conference on European financial integration on 7 May 2026 as a hybrid event from the ECB in Frankfurt am Main and online, with a programme centred on advancing the Savings and Investments Union (SIU). The conference will also mark the launch of the Commission’s European Financial Stability and Integration Review. Participation includes European Commissioner for financial services Maria Luís Albuquerque, ECB Vice-President Luis De Guindos, and ECB Executive Board member and Single Supervisory Mechanism Vice-Chair Frank Elderson, alongside speakers such as Enrico Letta and Member of the European Parliament Stéphanie Yon-Courtin. The agenda features keynote speeches, a fireside chat with Letta, and panel discussions on rethinking pensions for an entrepreneurial Europe and strengthening EU competitiveness through an integrated banking sector; the Review focuses on EU non-financial corporations’ financial conditions and the EU’s funded pension landscape. The Commission has published the conference programme and registration information ahead of the event.
