The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) reported that Governor Anca Dragu met participants in the third edition of the “School of Modern Finance” programme and presented certificates to students who subsequently delivered financial education lectures in rural communities across Moldova. The programme is run with the National Bank of Romania (NBR) and the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest (ASE) for students of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM). NBM noted that participants used the study experience to prepare and deliver financial education sessions for different age groups and professions, with presentations held in dozens of rural communities; the certificates carried the signatures of the governors of NBM and NBR and the rectors of ASE and ASEM. The programme was launched in 2023 and is delivered in Romania, combining study activities with cultural and historical visits in cities including Iași, Suceava, Brașov and Sinaia.
