The Japan Financial Services Agency has started operating a new Financial Services Agency Chatbot on its website using the Digital Agency’s National and Local Common Consultation Chatbot platform, known as Govbot. The new service supersedes the agency’s existing automated response chatbot that has been in operation since 1 September 2022, with the conventional chatbot scheduled to end on 31 March 2026. Users are directed to review Govbot’s terms of use before using the new chatbot, and general questions about financial administration are handled through the Financial Service User Consultation Office.
