Malaysia Securities Commission has taken its InvestSmart® investor education fair to the east coast with Bersama InvestSmart®@Pahang 2025, a three-day event in Kuantan running 20–22 June aimed at improving investment literacy and scam awareness. Held at East Coast Mall and officiated by Pahang’s Chairman of the Investment, Industrial Development, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee, Dato’ Mohamad Nizar bin Dato’ Sri Mohamad Najib, the fair brings together government officials, capital market firms and regulators, with more than 40 exhibitors under the theme ‘Bijak Labur Hidup Makmur’. The programme includes public talks and panel sessions, an anti-scam zone positioned as a one-stop learning centre, and more than 100 free one-to-one financial planning sessions under #FinPlan4u® with licensed financial planners. SC Chairman Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi linked the outreach to rising scam activity, citing 3,602 complaints and enquiries on scams and unlicensed activities in 2024 (10% higher than the prior year) and 1,218 received as of May, and urged the public to remain vigilant. This is the first time Bersama InvestSmart® has been held in Pahang, following earlier editions in Johor, Penang, Sarawak and Sabah.
