The Angola Insurance Authority (ARSEG) has publicised the launch of a public consultation on the proposed National Financial Inclusion Strategy (ENIF), submitted for feedback by the Coordination Committee for the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (CCENIF). The draft ENIF is positioned as a policy instrument to raise banking penetration and expand access to financial products and services for individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises, with a focus on savings, financing the economy, and the expansion of financial and digital services. The proposal is available via Angola’s Government Portal, the Public Consultation Portal, and the websites of the financial sector regulators and supervisors, including Banco Nacional de Angola, the Capital Markets Commission, and ARSEG; the consultation runs from 31 March to 30 April 2025. The preparation of the draft strategy was supported technically and methodologically by the World Bank and involved collaboration across public and private bodies, financial institutions, and social partners.
