The Guernsey Financial Services Commission welcomed the appointment of Peter Deacon as the Bailiwick’s first Finance Sector Concierge. Deacon, a former J.P. Morgan vice president in Hong Kong, began the role on Aug. 1 and will serve as an early-stage contact for businesses, investors and advisers considering Guernsey. Created following a recommendation in Guernsey’s Finance Sector Growth Strategy 2035, the role is intended to help prospective applicants develop well-formed plans and realistic regulatory expectations before approaching the Commission. The concierge will work with the Commission, Guernsey Finance, Locate Guernsey and the Bailiwick’s professional firms.

The Guernsey Financial Services Commission welcomed Peter Deacon’s appointment as the Bailiwick’s first Finance Sector Concierge, effective Aug. 1. He will provide an early-stage contact for businesses, investors and advisers and work with the Commission and other local organizations to help prospective applicants prepare for the regulatory process.
