The Algeria Market Authority convened its financial market one stop shop to review Tunisian ASSAD Group’s application to list its Algerian subsidiary, Batteries ASSAD Algérie, on the Algiers Stock Exchange. Participants examined the applicable listing conditions, mechanisms and procedures and clarified the regulatory and procedural requirements for the proposed transaction. No decision on the application was reported. Batteries ASSAD Algérie produced up to 400,000 batteries annually and generated revenue exceeding DZD 2.8 billion in 2025. The company plans to use the listing and optimize its operations to raise annual capacity to the equivalent of 1 million batteries, including by strengthening production lines and establishing a battery recycling and raw materials recovery plant.
