The Central Bank of Kuwait announced that, through its Wolooj Innovation Hub, it has developed a new technology for generating cryptographic keys intended to strengthen data protection and information security. The approach generates randomness from unconventional data sources described as complex and difficult to predict, converts this into digital streams to extract randomness, and then combines it with additional secure randomness produced by the operating system to produce stronger, less predictable encryption keys. The system was developed by Central Bank of Kuwait staff and has been registered as intellectual property with the relevant authorities.
