The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance has extended the submission deadline for Public Consultation No. 4/2025, which seeks feedback on a draft Regulatory Impact Analysis on flooding and inundation coverage. The consultation, which had closed on 17 September, has been reopened and will accept contributions until 29 September 2025. The draft analysis examines how flooding and inundation cover is currently offered within comprehensive residential insurance and assesses alternatives to increase its penetration in the Brazilian market. Stakeholder input is requested on the methodology, the dimensions and impacts considered and their respective weightings, and the scores assigned to each alternative, to inform any future decision on whether regulatory measures are needed.
