The National Bank of Moldova has initiated the drafting of an Executive Committee decision to amend the Regulation on credit transfers, direct debits and the assignment of IBAN codes, with the practical change aimed at adding the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) to the mandatory information in a payment order. The amendments are intended to align Regulation No. 108/2023 with Executive Committee Decision No. 8/2025 on requirements for the information accompanying fund transfers, specifically by expanding the list of compulsory payment order elements to include the LEI. The National Bank of Moldova invited opinions, proposals and recommendations on the draft by 10 February 2025.
