The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP), represented by Superintendent Alessandro Octaviani and Director Júlia Normande Lins, participated in the Sou Segura Summit 2025 in São Paulo on 24–25 June and joined the opening panel on ESG and inclusion in the insurance market. In his remarks, Octaviani highlighted SUSEP Circular No. 666/2022 on sustainability requirements for SUSEP-supervised entities, including its role in bringing inclusion into the centre of industry discussions and encouraging cultural change within insurers. Lins emphasised the need for the insurance market to offer products suited to the needs of different consumer groups, supported by careful assessment of those groups’ profiles, and referenced conclusions from SUSEP’s Working Group on the National Policy for Access to Insurance, particularly regarding underrepresented groups, noting that the Working Group’s final report was published in April 2025.
