The National Bank of Moldova reported that official reserve assets reached EUR 5.45 billion on Sept. 30, 2026, up EUR 39.22 million from Aug. 28. The increase primarily reflected a EUR 59.85 million gain from the appreciation of reserve currencies against the euro, EUR 13.61 million in reserve management income and EUR 5.76 million in receipts for the Ministry of Finance. These gains were partly offset by EUR 18.97 million in external public debt service, a EUR 14.43 million revaluation loss on investment securities and EUR 4.30 million in Ministry of Finance payments. Official reserve assets were EUR 349.02 million higher than at the end of 2025, while net foreign assets rose EUR 40.79 million during September to EUR 5.43 billion.
