The Central Bank of Paraguay reported that its BCP Educa program delivered financial education sessions in the departments of Alto Paraná and Paraguarí during April and May, reaching more than 500 students. The training was aimed at secondary school and university students, as well as other people interested in finance, and covered insurance, the securities market and personal finance. In Alto Paraná, the sessions were held in Ciudad del Este at the Dr. José Gaspar R. de Francia Regional Education Center, Colegio Nacional Soldado Paraguayo and Universidad del Norte for students in business administration, accounting and marketing. In Paraguarí, the activities focused on the role of insurance as a financial protection tool in connection with World Insurance Day in May, with participants including secondary students from schools in Carapeguá and Paraguarí and university students in law, business, health and psychology at Universidad San Lorenzo's Carapeguá branch.
