The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that Governor Almaz Baketaev took part in the Council of Central Banks of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku, where members discussed monetary policy, financial stability and digital transformation. The meeting ended with a communiqué stating the participating central banks’ readiness to intensify cooperation on monetary policy, financial stability and payment systems. During the sessions, Baketaev presented on monetary policy and safeguarding financial stability amid persistent global risks, as well as on the development of digital financial ecosystems and the changing role of central banks in the modern economy. On 4 June, a separate meeting with Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Hidayat oglu Asadov and the heads of central banks from member and observer states covered broader prospects for cooperation across the organization’s member countries.
