The Italian Securities Commission (Consob) ordered internet connectivity providers to block access from Italy to six websites that it says are offering financial services without the required authorisation, using its statutory powers to inhibit access to sites operated by unauthorised intermediaries. The websites covered are Fusionlots (fusionlots.io and platform.fusionlots-techf.com), Tux/Tuxai (tuxtop.com, tux8.com, tuxail.com and tuxai.com) and Chiron Group Limited (chiron-group.limited, cfd.chiron-group.limited and cfd.chirongroup.proxy84.com). With these measures, the cumulative number of websites blocked by Consob since July 2019 reached 1,211. Implementation of the blocks by connectivity providers is underway and may take several days for technical reasons. Consob also reiterated warnings for investors to verify that operators offering financial services are authorised and, where financial products are offered, that a prospectus has been published, referring readers to its “Watch out for scams!” section on its website.
