Peru's Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Pension Fund Administrators (SBS) issued guidance to pension affiliates on the treatment of Libre Desafiliación Informada (LDI) requests following the repeal of LDI under the Pension System Modernisation Law (Law No. 32123). Requests submitted up to 5 September 2025 will continue to be processed under the considerations of Law No. 28991 until each case is completed. Transfers from the Private Pension System to the National Pension System submitted after 5 September 2025 will be handled under the scope, procedures and conditions set out in the operational regulation to be approved by the Office of Pension Standardisation (ONP), in coordination with SBS. Requests linked to Minimum Pension benefits under Law No. 27617 or Law No. 28991 will continue to be processed under the existing provisions. Under the regulation to Law No. 32123, applications for Minimum Pension or Proportional Pension benefits created by the modernisation law will be accepted from the publication of the operational regulation governing benefits for that pillar, which must be approved in coordination with ONP.
