The Guernsey Financial Services Commission has launched a full-time, salaried Trainee Development Programme for school leavers to start a career in financial regulation while studying for a Degree in Applied Finance with the University of Exeter. The programme runs for four years and is structured around earning while learning and completing a recognised degree without leaving Guernsey. Entry is open to applicants with A Levels (or equivalent) in any subject with at least BBB, plus a minimum Grade 5 in GCSE English and Grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics. Trainees will rotate across two divisions of the Commission and receive structured training, mentoring and professional development, with the Commission positioning the scheme as a pathway into local public service careers.
