The Bank of Korea’s September 2026 Consumer Tendency Survey showed the Composite Consumer Sentiment Index rose 2.1 points from August to 106.6. The increase reflected stronger assessments of domestic economic conditions and improved expectations for household income, spending and living standards, while sentiment on current living standards was unchanged. The index for current domestic economic conditions increased four points to 83, while the future conditions index rose one point to 90. One-year inflation expectations remained at 2.7%, and both three-year and five-year expectations held at 2.6%.
